The 4-Channel Capacitive Touch Sensor Module uses the TTP224 touch-sensing IC to provide a simple way to add capacitive touch input to your project. Designed as a modern alternative to traditional mechanical buttons, the module features four touch-sensitive pads and operates on a supply voltage of 2.4V to 5.5V DC.
This module is easy to interface with microcontrollers, including Arduino, or can function independently. When a capacitive object, like a human hand, approaches a touch pad, the sensor detects the change in capacitance and triggers an output. You can even create custom sense-pads using conductive materials, and the sensor can detect touch through thin non-conductive surfaces like glass, plastic, fabric, or wood.
Thanks to its flexibility, the module can be discreetly hidden behind surfaces such as walls, offering a sleek and reliable alternative to conventional push buttons. Additionally, touch pads can be extended using wires or other conductive materials for creative installations.
