The IR Sensor module features strong adaptability to ambient light and includes an infrared transmitter and receiver pair. The transmitter emits a specific frequency, and when an obstacle is detected, the reflected IR light is captured by the receiver. A built-in comparator processes the signal, lighting up the green LED and outputting a digital low-level signal.
The detection distance is adjustable via an onboard potentiometer, with an effective range of 2 to 10 cm. Operating at 3.3V to 5V, this sensor is easy to use, with minimal interference, and simple to assemble. It’s ideal for applications like robot obstacle avoidance, line following, and object counting on conveyor systems.
