AD9833 Programmable Waveform Generator

The AD9833 is a low-power, highly versatile waveform generator capable of outputting sine, triangular, and square waves. Ideal for applications such as sensing, actuation, and time-domain reflectometry (TDR), it offers software-programmable frequency and phase control—no external components required.

It communicates via a fast 3-wire SPI interface (up to 40MHz), making it compatible with most microcontrollers and DSPs. Operating from a 2.3V to 5.5V power supply, the AD9833 also includes a power-down (SLEEP) mode to conserve energy, allowing unused sections—like the DAC—to be turned off when not needed.
